How do I join the classes?
In each class's home page, you can click on the join class button and fill out the google form. Input the right email, and a teacher will reach out as soon as possible to provide the class information.
Do the classes require prior knowledge?
Some of the classes do, for example the algebra 2 class requires knowledge of algebra 1, but in all the classes the most important review material will be covered in the first class.
Will the classes facilitate competition participation?
The classes will recommend ways to join competitions, and in the future it might become possible to do competitions through excel academe. In any case, valuable material and thinking techniques will be learned that can be helpful anywhere.
Can I join as a volunteer?
Yes! On the home page, you can scroll down to the section where it says "How you can help us" and click on the volunteer with us. There is an application process, and motivated and knowledgeable volunteers will be selected to teach.
What is the format for the classes?
The classes all occur once a week, online for 1-1.5 hours over zoom. Homework and handouts will be provided in each class.
Are the classes free?
Yes! ExcelAcademe is a non-profit organization and all our services, classes, and resources are free.
What is the curriculum structure?
The curriculum for each class be found by opening the drop-downs in each classes about website.
Excel Academe is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. If you want to help out, feel free to volunteer by starting a chapter at your own school or volunteering to be a test writer.
